“I Banter” 30 Day Challenge

The “I Banter” 30 Day Challenge is an opportunity for you to implement self-care practices into your life and connect with your community, while garnering support for Body Banter! You will have 30 days to complete 10 self-care activities and obtain sponsors to cheer you on during this challenge. Grab a friend and participate in the challenge together for some friendly competition! 

The funds raised from your sponsors will be donated to Body Banter in order to build our capacity to empower voices in conversations about body image and mental health by covering the costs of our workshops and talks, youth advocate projects, Conversation Communities and educational resources.

Challenge yourself to care for your mind and body, while giving back to your community.

How to participate

  1. Save or print a copy of this document to help you keep track of your progress

  2. Set a 30-day period for your challenge

  3. Obtain sponsors to cheer you on throughout your challenge, and record their names and sponsorship amounts in the table provided

  4. Complete the 10 self-care activities, and check them off as you go!

  5. After the 30 days, transfer the total amount of donations you collected to Body Banter online at www.bodybanter.com/donate

  6. Optional: Take a picture of yourself and your fully checked-off activity table, and post the picture on your social media account with the hashtag #ibanterchallenge, and tag us @bodybanter 

  7. Receive a donation receipt, certificate, and thank you card from Body Banter!

Complete 10 self-care activities within 30 days!

  1. Try a new food that you’ve never eaten before

  2. Try a new form of movement that you haven’t done before

  3. Compliment someone for a quality other than their appearance

  4. Complete a body scan meditation*

  5. Complete a series of stretching exercises for at least 5 minutes*

  6. Listen to a recommended podcast episode related to self-care*

  7. Read the Banter BASICS module on holistic health

  8. Watch The Social Dilemma on Netflix

  9. Declutter your social media feed by unfollowing accounts that do not bring value to your life

  10. Share Body Banter’s mission with 10 friends or family members, and invite them to follow our Instagram page @bodybanter!
